Ron Knudson, long–time principal of Denver High School, was instrumental in organizing Denver’s first scholarship organization in 1990. Under his leadership, Denver community members established Denver Dollars for Scholars, an affiliate of the national organization now known as Scholarship America.

Because of changes at the national level in 2012, board members established the Denver Cyclone Scholarship Foundation in order to operate independently and maintain local control and direction.  Community involvement and support have been keys to the growth and success we have experienced, and we want to ensure this tradition continues.

Tax-exempt status effective in 2013.

In the past 24 years, scholarships totaling over $200,000 have been awarded to Denver graduates.  We appreciate your continued support of the Denver Cyclone Scholarship Foundation.
