In order to be eligible, Denver students must complete volunteer requirements by assisting with a DCSF fundraising event. The High School Guidance Counselor will provide information regarding this requirement. Unlike man scholarship programs, there is no financial need attached to this program.
Scholarships are presented at the annual Senior Award Ceremony held at the end of the school year. The scholarships are payable upon receipt by the Treasurer of DCSF of the recipient’s transcript verifying a grade point average of 2.0 or greater and status as a full-time student (12 credit hours). Recipients have one year to meet these requirements. Personal circumstances or military service may extend this period, if approved by the Board of Directors.
Some scholarships awarded by DCSF are funded by other organizations. The Denver Ambulance Crew, Denver Fire Department, DHS Student Senate and other organizations have specific guidelines for eligibility for their awards.
